Recording, Mix and Mastering Engineer

Aaron Van Allen is a Philadelphia native session player turned expert mix & mastering engineer. Running around Philly & New York tracking drums, bass, and guitar alongside Chuck Treece of Bad Brains, Aaron would end up a member of the Universal Music signed Terrible Things, founded by members of Taking Back Sunday and Coheed & Cambria. 

 

A student of recording since 2000, under the mentorship of Mark Schultz cas, he has made a name for himself with projects for Bootsy Collins, Phil Nicolo & Lady Alma. As a mixer known for a huge yet authentic drum sound, he’s engineered for drummers of Andrew WK, CKY, Obituary, The Misfits, and Medeski Martin & Wood. 

 

On the production side, Aaron is now in a songwriting partnership with DJ Mel “Chaos” Lewis (The Roots, Black Eyed Peas, Jaden Smith, Pink). Together they are in an exclusive position to develop and shop singles for artists including Flo Rida, Harry Hudson & Alesia Cara.
